Re: Requirments For Black Belt In Framing

Ah, I always considered a plank to be made of wood. Like the ole "walk the plank"

and for those that are going to tell me scaffolding.

Scaffolding is a type of system, the pick is just part of one scaffolding system.

Just ones guy opinion as always.

Ah, after looking I suppose a stage would be another thing to call it.

Re: Requirments For Black Belt In Framing

I have Neos over shoes for when there's snow on the ground, they go over my adidas. I do own a pair of Georgia boots that are comfy but I prefer tennis shoes for walkin plate, bein on the roof and just general comfort.

Be honest, how many of you old schoolers remember being 20 feet off the ground when this came on the radio? Tell me you never got your King Tut on...

Re: Requirments For Black Belt In Framing

This reminds me, I love it when I've got someone who's scared of Hights up on the pick. If I'm cutting for em I'll climb the ladders bouncing those suckers as much as I can. I had a guy this last summer who had me rollin, we're doin log siding on the gables and he's death gripping the facia, I thought I was gonna make him piss his pants.

Usually walking the plates in those days. If it was on a pic, the pick was on ladder jacks, no pumps back then.

It sounds corny now, but seeing someone doing the Egyptian three stories up on a 2x4 was a sight to behold.

It was on a loop at the local radio station. Probably heard it 4-5 times a day for what seemed to be a whole Summer. You couldn't possibly refrain from doing the Egyptian.
