Reinforcing Trim And King Stud, 2" Drain Pipe Through?

Recently work at a project where will trim and king stud of header be drilled for a 2 drain pipe. How to enforce 2X4 because will have only like 7/8 at each side. House is from 19 century and studs are real 4. As I see right now best way is buy some L steel profile ( thicker gauge better ) around 4 long and 3/4 wide at last at one side of L and screw with GRK or lag screws.

How will those work with true 2" x 4" lumber?

Use the triple 3x and add a 1/2 spacer.

I'm not concerned with special solution for real 2"X4". It is easy for me to fill in or chisel off what need. I just need a solution for standard 2X4 that can pass inspection.
Of course it is a bearing and exterior wall. To be worse it is balloon framing and stud is 18’ long and cut will be 3’ from bottom.

I would suggest talking to the plumber and re-routing if possible. A solution can usually be found without sacrificing jacks and kings.
