Enter the comment you want to make...

Then click the attachment icon. (It looks like a paperclip)

A small window will pop up.

Click on "choose file".

Once you click on "choose file" another window will open up for you to navigate to where the image is located on your computer.

When you have located the image, clicking on it will automatically enter the file name of the image. Once that happens, click on "open".

You will then need to click the upload button. If you do not see it you may need to scroll to the right of the small window until you do.

Once that is done...

Simply click on the paperclip icon again and select the image you want to insert by clicking on the file name. This will insert the image to your post.

Insert Image By URL

Click on the icon that looks like an image...

How To Insert Images Into Your Posts-ct5.png

A window will open asking for the URL of the image. Please note that it must be the image URL not the page URL. Enter the URL and click "OK".

Name: ct6.png
Views: 288
Size: 7.8 KB

The code for the image will automatically be added for you.

The image will be displayed at the maximum size allowed in this community. If the image you choose using this method is too large, it will automatically resize it for you with an option for the viewers to see it larger.

Please note, that you should not use this method to display images that are not yours or that you do not have full permission to share as this may violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Inserting Flickr Images

If you have a Flickr account and want to display an image from there here in the community, Flickr provides the code for you.

Simply go to the image on Flickr that you want to share.

Depending on your version, you will either see a curved arrow to the side of the image or below it. When you click on it, a new window will open.

There will be an option to choose BB Code. Click on that. It will then offer you size options and will give you the code to add to your post.

The image will be displayed at the maximum size allowed in this community. If the image you choose using this method is too large, it will automatically resize it for you with an option for the viewers to see it larger like in the example below.

Re: How To Insert Images Into Your Posts

Common Image Issues

- If you get an error when trying to load an image, it is almost always caused by uploading images that are far too large or you are uploading too many at a time.

- Sometimes an image will not upload in the manner you expected, such as being rotated the wrong direction. This is almost always related to uploading images from your phone which were taken that way. Some people have found that if they upload and save them to their computer first (using the proper orientation) it will solve the issue.
