Let's Go To Court.

We will break ground on this "private" courtroom this week.
All done in cherry.
Must be finished off site and assembled in the room.
There will be a TV monitor in the recessed section in the middle.
I got an email yesterday saying the wall between the judge and the witness needs to be lowered so he can see the witness better. The wall with the post at the end will do the same. So one more revision to come.

Looks like a cool project, but why does someone want a private court room? Lol

I've seen this before, not sure if the same case... I was doing a job for a judge whose wife was a trial lawyer, they had a similar set up in the basement. Maybe to practice who knows.

They hold mock trials all the time for training layers.
I've played the defendant in a work place sexual harassment case for a law firm in the city. Training went from initial meeting with attorney pre-court to verdict.
Long day in court on the stand.

I was thinking about doing that if there was any interest.
I use Cabinet Vision software

Here's the revised rendering. He mentioned lowering the opposite wall as well. I pointed out a few of the challenges associated with that and we came to the conclusion that it would be best to just lower the one wall.
I'm waiting on final approval and we are good to go.

Re: Let's Go To Court.

That would be great to have in homes that have 3 or more children. Every time something happens and nobody seems to know what or how it happened, the parents can put all of the children on trial. The only difference is that they'll have unlimited cross examinations, no penalties for leading or badgering the witness, and hearsay is admissible evidence.

The plywood deck will ship in pieces and the joist system will break in two sections.

The judge's walls will break at the dropped section. The witness stand and the clerk's desk will ship loose.

Re: Let's Go To Court.

That could get you out of jury duty.

Just tell the judge that you couldn't be impartial because you can't stop admiring your work.
