Have only installed two doors with pvc jambs , I found they needed to be shimmed more to staighten both the hinge and latch sides because the jamb seemed wavy . Not sure if any one else has noticed this .

Compliation of reviews from builders, designers, and homeowners. They seem well reviewed across the board for safety, energy efficiency, and appearance. Please share additional comments.

I think you are right. I've only installed three myself, but I had to shim right behind the bottom hinges to lift it up. It just didn't want to sit right, even on a plumb hinge side.

There nice. We install30-40 per yr. Full fiberglass norot jambs argon low e glass. Oak threshold. I order them From lumber yard with all the bells and whistles. the jeld wen are the exact same thing. Again you have to be clear to get all the extras if not you might as well pick it off the rack at hd. I also installed a lot the full composit jams and pvc brick mold. Always get the PVC brick mold. If the jam is no rot I still grace tape bottom about4-6" the up the sides about6".

They do come with first 4-6" made out of composite (PVC) material. It's pine from there up. I imagine a full PVC frame would run more money, probably why they push the pine frames.
