Re: Website

I would suggest that you have the before and after pictures be taken from the same angle. Well, at least sort of the same angle.

I will defiantly do that from now on, and eventually replace this that don't. I just bought a new camera because obviously my iPhone camera isn't working.

Re: Website

Looking at it on my laptop, the pages all fill with your logo, maybe shrink it down some so you can see some content below. Pull some generic pictures from the web, lumber trucks, action stuff like people working, plan details, picture of a permit etc.

And the logo, unless its really branded already, I would consider changing it to something more artistic. For 150.00 you can probably get something from Designoutpost.com that will make your competitors fear you…lol

The logo is really branded, and on my truck, shirts and all other ads lol. Hmmmm on my laptop it doesn't take up the full page, it is big but it shows other stuff too. Ill see what I can do.

Re: Website

Take your picture down, I heard what you said about the why. Get one of you working from the side with your tools on, holding plans, looking official and bossman like. Show your fleet, show your brand. Talk about your involvement with the community church, charity, scouts etc. Show pictures of that if you have it.

Re: Website

I was going to say something about the logo too, but didn't want to offend anyone. I am by no means an expert on websites. I do not have one, don't really need one in my business. I have been thinking about getting one though for a couple years now, just haven't found the time.

But strictly from an observational point of view, there's nothing there that would make me want to hire you, unless I knew you personally or knew of your company. I think if there are some manufacturers you work with, maybe incorporate their logo into your site as well. It will give you some creditability and name recognition

Also you need some good quality pictures.

Re: Website

The block with the license and all is too big, put that on each side of your logo and put something interesting on your home page. GoRavens

Re: Website

BTM - how long have you been in business? I highly doubt your logo is really that well known and I mean no offense by saying that but for small construction companies, logos don't mean much.

For that reason, I don't think it matters either way if you change it or not.
