Tracking Streets When Distributing Door Hangers ... Best Way To Track.

Whats the best way to track streets when distributing door hangers?

I sent 1 of my guys out today for about 3 hours and he able to distribute to over 200 Homes in that time frame. The problem is that he's just randomly walking blocks lol .

Id like to be able to map his route out so that i could track routes and make sure the same area dont get hit twice.

I been playing around with google maps.

Door hangers in general have a terrible response. There are much better ways to acquire leads.

Have you tracked your cost vs leads from this program or is this the first time?

There are so many ways to get leads that is much more effective. It may appear that it cost more per home but in actual cost is less than door hangers.

An example is to target ONLY new homeowners. These are people who normally want to do remodeling, painting, concrete, etc...

You can buy list of all new homeowners in your area and send them a sequential mailer until they respond. It cost you more per home, but your overall cost is less and you'll get a much better response.

DISAGREE!

I have 1 flyer that led to a project ($50K) and the referrals off of that project bring in at least $75,000 in sales each year for the past 3. So with that 1 project (on 100 flyers) it's brought $225,000+ in sales. Can't complain about that.

I would say tracks, awesome app.

Side note about door hangers. I would offer them as a courtesy call and not an aggressive ad. I saw someone else on here suggest using the phrase along the line of " Pardon our dust, we are working in the neighborhood and just want to let you know"

Then you could say something like " we care about our clients neighbors and if you have any concerns call us" or something like that. Offer a "good neighbor" discount or something like that.

We have experimented with door hangers in the past, but we had used a company that provides this services. They have employees with gps tracking and go out and hand out the flyers. As far as I know they were using some basic street maps that they got from Google Maps.
