www.monkeydrive.net has some of the best prices on printing shirts and stuff, I get my shirts there for around 4 or 5 bucks a piece.

I think the monkeydrive.net is going to have better prices on the shirts than you are going to find.

Wear guards stuff is very good quality. If you buy the pro weight items you can get years of them.

The guys get new t shirts every 2 years,

polos going on 5 years,

Jackets going on 6-7 years.

Sweatshirts 2-3 years and they all look new.

Slightly brokenin but not scruffy looking after a year and look like that for awhile pay a few more bucks in the beginning and get a few years out of the gear

The problem is all the hoodies get covered in while caulking

2 guys that paint for me have a few white tees and hoodies for painting days.

My uniform is typically royal blue.

Re: Shirts, Hoodies, Jackets

We use the t'shirts up quick being painters, so the white T'shirt I buy at monkeydrive, I buy about 700 per year there.

I buy my salesman, office staff, and operation managers shirts from a printing company here local and recommend you buy those types of shirts local because when the embroidery is done wrong you can go face to face with complaints I have mistakes about 1 out of 3 times I order the collar shirts and jackets.

Wearguard is great quality, but you can definitely get better pricing locally. Their prices seem really reasonable until you start adding the embroidery and stuff, then it goes through the roof.

I buy local, www.endoftheroadtees.com located in Taunton Ma, best prices and great stuff. They also do emroidery, and they tell ya right up front if will look good or not.

We have Champion Hoods, and pima cotton t's, beat any online price I have found unless you want junk.

Re: Shirts, Hoodies, Jackets

Two short questions -

Are the shirts and hoodies bought because they supposedly increase sales or are they to make people feel better? Few customers will buy because they got a freebie and end up being an unpaid walking billboard.

Are they really made in the U.S.A.? - Most contractors do not like anything foreign. Some companies buy foreign shirts and have them done locally or have the embroidered foreign since the are so cheap to ship.

Re: Shirts, Hoodies, Jackets

What kind of stuff do you look for when you ordering shirts, both Polo's and Tee's?

Weave, density, poundage.....???

What are the terms or specs I need to get familiar with, in other words?

What would I need to look for for what everyone calls a "Good Quality" shirt when I order from a place for the first time?

Also, do the sizes from each of these places run true and accurate?

What about the shrinkage from washing them? Should I order a size larger and let it shrink down to the right size?

Re: Shirts, Hoodies, Jackets

Walking billboard for 20 bucks is fine with me. I give away plenty, the more my logo is seen the better I like it.

Customers always get a hat, shirt, or sweatshirt depending on the job, had a customer where one of our Hoods to a golf event, got a great lead from one of his business pals and closed the job. Was well worth the money.
