Re: Porch.com,,,,,,,,,They Use Your Business Name And Redirect Your Calls

I glanced at this from approximately 1 year ago (Post #353 for inquiring minds). These are not my opinions and here is an update (obviously subject to change).

As of this post, there were 344 Reviews, this is the breakdown

5 Stars: 40 last time, 114 as of this post
4 Stars: 3 last time, 13 as of this post
3 Stars: 2 last time, 3 as of this post
2 Stars: 10 last time, 14 as of this post
1 Stars: 129 last time, 200 as of this post

Average rating was 2.0 last time, and now 2.5 as of this post. I will give them credit for a slight improvement

There is another statistic on the right that says
Bottom line 38% would recommend to a friend
(so 62% would not recommend to a friend)

It perplexes me how Lowe's is content with this. I realize there are some variables that are just so hard to control, but 2.5 out 5 stars or 38% would refer is something that is really not a great model in my opinion.

There is a new CEO at Lowe's who perhaps cares since "they claim" they are targeting the Pro. I do continue to try to reach Lowe's to offer them better alternatives to helping contractors get More Quality Leads but it just is met with silence. But I have tried repetitively since before this forum thread was created.

What always perplexes me is why do corporate folk shoot for the fastest-shortest-easiest alternatives to helping contractors with their lead generation efforts. One has to ask if 2/3 are unhappy, then perhaps a better strategy should be in place.

I am always assuming there is a handful of analysts that look at these statistics, but I wonder if they every truly appreciate what occurs in the field when so many contractors are talking among themselves.

Porch (as well as the other Lead Gen folk) will always make money off certain contractors that are looking for the quick way in for leads, but the ones who will make it in the long run will be those with a little education, plan and execution to get More Quality Leads on a continuous basis.

And my instinct is the average contractor would not be in business for long if 2 out of 3 customers would not refer them.

Until next time, good luck everyone.
