Re: If You're Not On Facebook, You Should Be.

Hey guys have any of you tried facebook ads. It's a similar pay-per-click system like google adwords.

You can target user by where they live, their age, their interest and have your ads come up in their profile. This has been a very powerful tool and the best thing is you only pay when someone clicks on your ad, so if you make it clear what you do you will only ever pay for qualified leads.

You can then send leads to your website or your facebook page. There are some great resources that will quickly show you how to set it all up in under an hour.

Unfortunately not everyone is going to comply. The older the thread gets the more people lose interest. Some may have even stopped using their facebook page while others might visit it 4 times a month and there are those who utilize it daily. We just plug our link in here with the hope we get some action and move forward. There isn't anything we can do or say that will nudge those that are not actively participating to make their move.

While some here have taken the time to like ALL the pages, there are some that may have only liked half the list and yet others post their link not having reciprocated at all. There really isn't much we can do and complaining (not point fingers here, just stating the obvious) won't move the mountain.

I think if this topic was more active and perhaps even restarted fresh in a new topic with the old list of links, we might stir up some more interest. But with the amount of pages this thread has, people are more inclined to overlook most of it and skip to the last post and read it first in the meantime they miss the nicely formed list of those looking to be involved in this project. At minimum, that list should be on each page.

Good luck!

Not being a douche, but, why would I? Two poster wants to be liked and has not or is not going through the list doing the same. You have exactly one place you like "Tutu Many Things!"

Forgive me if I am a bit jaded but I have gone through many times liking peoples pages , even gotten to the point where facebook makes me put in captcha code because I am liking to quickly, and obviously I am not getting the same in return.

To those that have, Thank You!

Valid point, however, its too hard to keep up with. I stay active and like people's company pages (with my personal page) but many here are using the system for popularity that they won't return. I've noticed quite a few newbies doing this but I extend my support.
If there was a post cap to participate in this thread, we wouldn't gain anyone new who just may be as active as most.
I vote for someone to take note of each members current activity (last login date, etc...) and remove their page from the thread :
For everyone that did "like" me with your personal page account, Thank you!

Re: If You're Not On Facebook, You Should Be.

I edited my previous posts with everyone's link. I hope I didn't miss any one or duplicated those that may have changed their names.

Enjoy.

If your posting your link and asking to be on the "LIST" (we can see on your page if your participating) then WE do EXPECT YOU TO PARTICIPATE and like EVERYONE! on the list.

I don't mind going through the list and removing businesses that are not participating. It's raining hard here, not much work to do, and I don't mind this monotonous task.

What I wrote is not necessarily true.

I just checked my fb page to see if Arch Home Improvements liked my page, then I realized that He liked it with his personal page (Jim Brown). So, with that, there really is no way to tell unless you know everyone by their personal names. I forget sometimes that most people do not have "personal" business pages.

Back on post #1315 Arch said "I went through and liked everyone." I am more than certain he did because if you go to his personal page, and look at "Actvities and Interests", you will see he has like over 250 pages and most of them are from this topic.

The only thing I can say is; if someone request to be put on the LIST, we should put them up. There really is no way to tell if they participate without some serious extensive research. I'm not volunteering for that!

Good point about business/personal likes. Something I didn't realize at first and liked everyone as my business page. Then I also realized that business to business likes had to be seen elsewhere and didn't appear in the total tally of likes on the page. I think I got everyone from the business side from the personal side also, certainly any new likes would appear as a personal like.
I also felt a bit jaded at first that I didn't get returns in likes in the amount I put out. But also just wrote it off that some just weren't going to participate as fully. Eh....whatever....I still do my best to reciprocate. If I missed any, bring it to my attention.

Also just wanted to add, that some are against this thread even existing, just as the G+ thread got shut down......just saying.....wouldn't want to see this one get closed either
