Facebook Settings?

Here's what's happing:

If I log-in to Facebook and check the box to stay logged in.

I successfully go directly to my Facebook>Da Vinci page from all my links (website, email signiture, etc.) (i'm Happy )

I also get successfully to all CT member sites from your links (on your websites, CT posts, etc.) (I'm also Happy )

If I log out of Facebook:

My links (from website, email signature, etc.) takes me to the Facebook log-in page. (I'm Sad )

Your links still successfuly get me to your Facebook biz pages.

All I can think of is that I have a privacy setting that is blocking non-logged-in members from getting to my page

or

I'm linking to the wrong URL!

Any Ideas?

Re: Facebook Settings?

Yeah, thats weird. When logged in I go to your fan page wall. When logged out I go to the log in page too. But, on my page when I'm logged out I still go to my wall. Did you check your settings on the "Edit page" link right below your profile pic on your Fan page? Under settings it should be set on "Published (publicly visible)".

Re: Facebook Settings?

I got it fixed! It's a long process and it doesn't appear that others are having trouble so I won't post it. Just remember that if it comes up on CT again - I do have the solution!

I fanned your page if that helps ease the pain.

Re: Facebook Settings?

Up in the right corner click on Settings>Privacy Settings>Profile Information. There you can change who sees what on your profile. You can also add lists and add your friends to those lists. Then change the privacy settings for those lists. That way you can have different sets of privacy setting for different people.

The common setting is that only friends can see your page, blocking it from others. If you are logged on, you will see your profile. If you log out, you will not be able to.

That's for a Personal page not a Business Fan page.

Nope! Much more involved than that. Was not a privacy issue at all - that was my original thought - I have my personal page pretty private - don't want just anyone looking at my nudy pics!

Ended-up changing my facebook URL. But there are a couple of different issues - possible problems - solutions. I'll get it out soon

Re: Facebook Settings?

There are three possible problems to fix the Log-in page issue:

The first place to look is on your Fan Page. Under your profile pic click on Edit Page. Go to Settings and edit Age Restrictions to 13+. Apparently if your setting is above 13+, Facebook has a must log-in app that inquires about your age.

Second area is on the same Edit Page. Make sure "Published" is selected.

Third Item to change (this is the one that got me up and going): The URL assigned to my page by Facebook is:

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/p...3053434?ref=nf

I removed /home.php?# and the ?ref=nf at the end. Final result looks like:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Centen...C/238403053434

The second one gets you there loged in or not.

I am now Jedi Facebook Master! It would have been easier to use the force.
