Critique My Consultations

Any construction business coaches out there that would consider listening to an audio recording of one of my in-person sales consultations, to critique my approach with the goal of increasing sales? I'm not a sleezy salesperson, I try to educate, I'm there for 2 hours most of the times.

Sometimes I feel I make a positive relational connection with my homeowners, but after emailing my quote, I don't even get a call or email back. They go radio silence. It's a bummer dude.

Please PM me w/ details if so. Thanks!

If you aren't getting a response.
Give them a follow up call to make sure they got it.
Then you can also answer any other questions they might have.

If it's a job you want.

Everyone in sales needs to read the book How To Win Friends and Influence People In the digital age.

I read the book 3 times. I have been trying to get my 19-year old son who is in college to read the book and he was not interested in it until two different college students mentioned that they were reading the book.

Another really good book is Start With No.

I think it has been mentioned many times that doing business with email and text messages has to be the worst way to communicate with anyone with the exception of when you absolutely have to. I suppose, I would use email if I didn't care about getting a job. When I want a job it has to be worth the time to personally deliver the estimate/contract and close the sale on-the-spot.

It is also strange how so many contractors say they use email because they don't have the time to make more personal visits to customers and that is exactly the premise of the book.
