Blog For Your Website

Setting up a blog is one of the most effective things I have done for my website. Here are the biggest factors in creating an effective blog.
  • Write useful content
  • Update blog 2-3 times per week
  • Link back to your website
  • Add pictures
  • Get people to subscribe

Finding people to follow your blog is one of the hardest things to do. If you have a blog I put a link to it. I would like to subscribe.

I am now following your blog. Make sure you are putting 2-3 links back to your website with every blog. These backlinks are what gives your website credability with google.

Re: Blog For Your Website

If you want your blog to show up quickly in the Search Engines, make sure you post it on Twitter - if a few people retweet it, watch out as the Search Engine spiders will hit your site within minutes instead of days.

For those on Facebook - the same will also hold true, I just can't stand that site though

My blog is listed below, if your interested

Re: Blog For Your Website

Center Island - first welcome to CT, would you mind posting an intro?

The easiest way to explain it is for you to look at my website and some of the other posters on here
Most of my sites are in my signature - if you go to the main one - it has links to all the others
Twitter points to my blog (settings) - Linked In to my main site (also in settings), etc...
My blog articles have links in the articles along with the icon on the top

Ok this is really good info. It sets you apart and truly makes you look like an authority as well as someone willing to educate people. I like it. But how do you deliver it to prospects?

Re: Blog For Your Website

Here is my Remodeling Blog. If you google "remodeling blog" it will show up in the 11 spot. It has been jumping up in the serp lately. I am confident I will have one of the top 3 spots within the next 6 months.
