Anyone Familiar With Webfirst Creations?

I had Webfirst Creations build my website. They hosted it for a few years until their prices were too high for me and I moved it to Go Daddy,..or tried to move it.

They emailed me a zipped file that contained my website but they won't tell me what file or files are needed to install it on GO Daddy.

After numerous attempts at contacting them I have given up and am looking for a different route to go.

I have asked several companies to look at it but they all want a lot of $$ to look with no guarantee they will find the file.

From what I have learned in the last few days its like I have a program that I want to install but I don't know which file within the program is the "setup .exe or install.exe" file.

I'm wondering if anyone has used them in the past and knows the file name they use for installing on a different server.

Thanks

They are a generic (non-industry specific) company with offices in many states. So simply google their name and the location you have worked with. Then leave a bad review and I will bet they will reply. But from what I see on their website, my instinct is something is missing since it seems your site is offline which is definitely more important than going back and forth on whatever small dollars you may be mentioning. And if it drags on, you may decide to just build from scratch. I say that because, if the site was performing well, you would not have been questioning the $ as you mentioned. It is so hard to know while just being on the forums what is happening behind the scenes, so leaving a review will surely stimulate a reply on their part. And one of two things will happen. 1) They will respond with something completely different than you are saying to support their reason for not be responsive, or 2) perhaps they may see something slipping through their own cracks and look to help out to make the negative review become better. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks for the info,

I paid another company to try to get it up and running and after 3 days they have given up.

I've already contracted with a different company to rebuild the site.

OK, and just a heads up, I suggest waiting until after the site is built, and after it is performing for a period of time before mentioning the company name. Why? Because many times these forms of posts can be viewed as a way to simply introduce another web development company and the others here spot it rather quickly, and then they are toast. Not that this is your intent, but it falls in that line when one company is mentioned after the fact that you already moved on. Good luck and will be nice to hear you are doing well a few months out.

You should have come here to ask who to hire. Despite our ability to put most peoples heads through sheetrock, we are considered the orange disk that web guys shoot (for), most dont know anything, and if anything is developed we will assume its good, if it looks good.
