Re: Angies List

I joined last year, but haven't received one call yet. I didn't like their position on immigration so I ignore them now.

Re: Angies List

A business can't put itself on Angie's List, only Angie's List homeowner members (with paid subscriptions) can add a business to Angies List by submitting a report. A customer added me to it a few years ago, and I get a couple of calls per week from it. I get contacted every month from an Angie's List sales rep soliciting me to pay for advertising either online or in their printed material. I have not paid for their advertising.

Re: Angies List

It was something they had put out in their monthly magazine about immigration. It was basically that they had no dog in the fight, and didn't think it was important. Here in Texas, they are like the plague, course Austin is a 'sanctuary' city, so I guess it goes without saying...I just didn't like their stand on the issue. To me that is just as bad as hiring them...which I don't, that's all. Sorry to create a ruckus, just tired of illegals getting by without any accountability...

Its only going to get worse, Obama is pushing through all kinds of bennys for illegals.....

Our new Health Secretary wants health care for all, even illegals, her state already gives free college education to illegals on the taxpayer dime.

90 Billion a year for welfare and social services................

Re: Angies List

Here is an odd twist of hurting the economy by getting rid of the illigals. Hospitals in AZ are laying off nurses, doctors and other staff because Sheriff Joe has been on a rampage getting the illigals out of here. Granted it changes other aspects that are benefical as well, but the medical industry out here is really suffering because of it. For anyone that knows how short handed the nursing field has been over the past 20 years it is amazing to hear about them getting laid off.

Re: Angies List

Aiken, I dont want to hear any BS about supporting illegals. The health care industry is THE HIGHEST paid, and has the highest employment rate. So I hope your not trying to get millions of contractors or construction workers to feel sorry for a bunch of low life, money hungry, criminals, who destroy this country

Re: Angies List

and now back to Angies list...........

I didn't know if anybody had added me or not and no way to find out so in a fit of beerbuzzedness I went ahead and joined a few weeks ago. Looking through there(My co. wasn't in there))there's not as many companies as I thought there would be and my local market is close to 2 million people.
Kind of a let down, I guess it's just not that popular around here. There was a link to pay and advertise on some kind of sister site or something they had but in no way am I'm going to spend another dime on that place. I could get a refund since I paid for a year but think I'll use it just for research sake.

Re: Angies List

Is anyone here with Angies List?

No I don't use Angie's list and one of the reasons why is there support of illegal's not to be political but as an American trying to run a business and play by the rules that govern our country and I take offense to that.

I also believe I have the right to post on this forum unless the moderator wants to delete my post or bars me from posting

Re: Angies List

Think Painting what leads you to think Angie's List supports illegals? In their monthly magazine the have warned not to hire Illegals or companies that do.
So please some proof ,very easy to say something that is damming. Does not pass smell test why would they support illegals? Really no money in it for them. They charge home owners to join and tell them to hire illegals I don't think so.

Re: Angies List

Really there monthly magazine says that?

So they must have changed there stance in previous magazines they said it didn't concern them immigration issue.

Fact---

$200 Billion dollars a year in surpressed American wages are caused by illegal aliens.

you can verify---http:/transcripts.cnn/TRANSC RI
