3 Things That My Website Guy Showed Me To Improve Business

So my website guy showed me 3 things that can help companies like ours move up on Google. It has helped move my website www.batonrougehomeremodeling.com up the Google map rankings.
Here they are:

1) Citations-Input or pay for a service that inputs your business name, address and phone across the web

2) Pictures- Add 12-15 photos into your Google account and when you do, make sure you name the file with keywords like bathroom remodel, outdoor kitchen, etc..

3) Reviews- Ask customers for reviews. To really get them rolling in, initiate the process by sending a link to the customers so they can easily review and support your business.

Thanks

Welcome BRHR!

Great first post.

Those are three great suggestions because they are simple and anyone who can figure out how to post on here, can do them.

I would add to number 1:

Claim and verify your Google My Business listing, then use the name, address, phone information you have on file with Google on all your other citations.

Re: 3 Things That My Website Guy Showed Me To Improve Business

I think you are competing with my client www.ZitroCS.com so unfortunately I will have to sit this one out.

But only suggestion would be to ask your website company to remove the link at the bottom of your website. No need to have someone like me (or your other competitors) easily able to see your strengths and/or weaknesses. And if you are going to give him a Home Page link to your website, then ask him to do the same from his Home Page to you (which I doubt he would want to do). That is a one-way benefit tactic for his business.

My family lives in Independence so I figured I would still be courteous with a suggestion even though I can't be more specific for your site. Good luck.

Re: 3 Things That My Website Guy Showed Me To Improve Business

Both the Zitro and Baton Home Remodeling sites are good.

What I also recommend is to also include a google map embed of your location as well as a G+ profile link on your site as well. These google properties can help with trustflow to your site.

You can see an example on our site here: http://www.coachellavalleyconstruction.com

Let me know if you guys have any questions, hope that helps.

Here are even more

This website (no affiliation) has broken out the best citations by industry.

https://whitespark.ca/best-citations...s/contractors/

Cheers!

If that list looks daunting, you can use a free firefox plugin to automatically fill out the forms. It saves a TON of time - https://www.roboform.com/form-filler.

Hey @BRHR good stuff!

Any advice for my website: https://www.foundationrepairsyracuse.com/

Had a designer build it out. Not really that fond of it.

Some good advice on this thread. The reviews are easier said than done (regardless of industry). We have had many say they would do this and don't follow through. We find it helps to send them the direct link of where they can leave the review and then follow up a few weeks later if it hasn't been done.

That's why I like NiceJob. It's automated to followup.
(Which is probably what most people don't do.)

NiceJob says using it gets 76% more reviews in their first 3 months.

That's how long I've been using it and while my math aint great, I would say in my case the reviews are up well over 200%

When I did it manually, there was a sweet spot. Somewhere between when the job is done and a week or two. After that, forget it.

Unless you can afford to hire someone to followup on reviews and stick with a schedule, it doesn't work out so good. Not me. This app is a no brainer.
