A great way to free up space in a bathroom is to install a free standing soaking tub.

See here

or

Here

A free standing copper tub is not that much more than other high quality tubs, is anti bacterial and will give you many more options in the design. Than you could just do a shower separate!

Just an idea!

It is designed so that you have full access from anywhere...

Best of luck... 8^)
I used two of your ideas. I believe it was the first and last in this row of designs. I tweaked them a little but really liked your layout. Especially the last one. It gave ample room for the closet which seemed be to be what they wanted the most.

I used a few less doors and didn't separate the water closet to allow for some natural light to enter the room. Instead I used a knee wall to separate the toilet.

I thought I had a real good shot on this one or would have never asked for help here. This one was a number. Oh well.

Thanks again for your help. May I ask what program you used to draw the floor plans?

Are you still stumped? If so, let's see the entire floor plan or for at least the entire master bedroom and adjacent areas. There is always a way if the money will allow. A bad plan caused by money issues/inflexibility shouldn't be started in the first place. If you are still struggling get back to me. Perhaps I can help.

One put curtains over french doors, then why have french doors? The best thing to make a focal point from French doors is a nice vanity. I have learned that many times through trial and error that peoples desire to highlight their awesome shower later turns to a desire to have some privacy. Toilets and showers in front of French Doors never good. Unless its and adult movie or Amsterdamn
Keeyter - I know I'm late to the party but the best solution for you doesnt have to be curtains on a french door. I understand people wanting to showcase the beautiful bathroom that they just paid for and they dont always think of "privacy" Next time present them with the idea of changing the glass in their french doors to electronic LC Privacy Glass. This way, they can admire your beautiful work when the bathroom isnt being used, and when they need to shower (or USE the bathroom) then it switches from clear to frosted with a light switch. My past customers flipped with the idea. its a functional novelty to them. Home run and worth the price

Are you going to dredge up every old post and keep hawking those doors? They are pretty cool, but it gets a bit tedious after a while.

Some customer-desired designs are overconstrained.
I think it helps if you find this out soon so you can start with the 'compromise problem' which is driven by good industry practice and customer fallback positions.
