And Y'all Thought Contracting Was Tough

Seriously it could be much worse

You could be a professional photographer, a real one with real chops. Local county Facebook page had this posted

"ISO is a decent priced photographer, I want to get some family photos"

43 recommendations, of which 30 were Photographers posting their pages. All within an hour. Holy chit and I thought the roofers, home improvement contractors and handymen around here were self promoting piranhas. And worse vast majority couldn't pass as intermediate amateurs, AKA in contracting terms somewhat skilled DIYs hanging their shingles out for paid work.

Starting to believe there are more photographers than guitar pickers in Texas.

All you need to be a photographer these days is a $300 used DSLR and a FaceSpace page.

Don't forget all those fancy web and phone apps. Ones that have the pretty picture flavor of the day button/s.

Re: And Y'all Thought Contracting Was Tough

I doubt they were professional photographers. I see so many people buying cameras at Wal-mart, then becoming photographers. With the internet, the printing possibilities are much easier.

It kind of annoys me and I'm not a photographer. I did take a few years of photography classes, but it just wasn't for me. Now I see these people starting their own "Photography businesses" when they have no photography training or experience.

Like you said. Probably not much different than construction. I see that also.
