Dont want to sound morbid but with all the BOOMERS getting old now I think Morticians ( and the like) will be in demand.

We do pretty well on updating and rewires on commercial, seems alot of guys dont want to mess with it.....where i am most everything is way outdated so its working well

Solar has got to be one of the best. From residential to commercial use, it is growing faster every year. With all the new environmental policies and increasing utility prices, more people will be turning to solar energy in the years to come.

Get a hand out from the Gov't for hundreds of millions of dollars to produce solar panels then take the money and run because the Chinese are producing the panels way cheaper than any US company can.
Solar is a lost cause.
It's been around a long time and hasnt really taken off in the US like the current administration hoped it would.
With the natural gas being drilled for especially with the Marcellus gas shale I'd have to say solar will be piddling along like it is now for years to come.
There will always be more money to be made in oil and natural gas than solar.

The White House tried solar, Reagan had the panels removed. It doesn't make sense to spend that much money to produce that little energy.

He also had the modern direct-dial PBX phone system removed. He had the older style "party line" system reinstalled with an operator at a switchboard.

And let's not forget the Astrologer Method for running a Presidency.

Don't get me wrong, I stumped for the guy - but what Reagan did 30 years ago shouldn't be a watershed moment for the future of our country.

Re: What Would Be The Best Trade To Be In, In The Coming Future?

Beyond those who still think the best dwellings are those built using rocks for hammers and dried animal skins, these things present themselves:

- In 2012 the U.S Department of Commerce placed a 31% tariff on solar cells made in China.

-In September 2014, SolarCity broke ground on a solar panel manufacturing plant in Buffalo, New York.
- SolarWorld plant in Hillsboro, Oregon
- Heliovolt in Austin Texas.

Each and every technology that the US of A has embraced has been at some point subsidized/tax favored/promoted. That includes canals, rail, airlines, nuclear - even that ribbon of interstate.

Ontop of that he admitted as to how dissapointed he was in himself after he managed to triple the national debt during his term.

Granted, I am always learning in my field. But man, there are a lot of people that really don't know much about ___, but still are selling the product.

But still, there is a niche market

Unfortunately, most things are made in China. If you don't want to rely on burning coal for energy, solar is one of the best options. It's not just about cost when you look at solar.

If you live in California, it's an industry that is rapidly increasing. Maybe the rest of the country is a bit slow to respond, but it just makes sense to get solar out here. Especially since companies now offer solar for ZERO down. While all technology is expensive from the go, as competition increases the cost of solar panels will decrease. In California alone, the cost per megawatt has decreased almost 50% from '07 to '13. http://californiasolarstatistics.ca.gov/

Yeah that is what I meant. So then my hope is people, not all, but the good ones will really start to be able to tell between a true pro with skill and a wanna be. Those with skil will become more and more in demand when people tire from cheap crap falling apart.

Not sure I would call it a trade per se, but HVAC controls guys seem to be the only ones who can do their job. They charge what ever they want and there is little competition.
