parker, what did they get away with?

maybe put a motion light out there.

even if they know it's a motion light, it's so bright they can't see inside the house to see if you looking at them or not.

Re: Two Tool Boxes...GONE...

at first i thought all that they got was one of my wifes painting boxes which contained only coveralls and misc. schwag. ... Two days later i go to bust out my skilsaw and ...dohhh!!! turns out they cruised the entire neighborhood just grabbin anything in the yards or driveways. Pretty minor hit,all things considered. Funny thing is, all the next day i couldn't get the "gut" feeling outta my head. The van struck me very familiar and if i were a bettin' man i'd put my money on the fellas that drive around and drop off all those unwanted phone books. we'll see PS you guys are pretty damn funny.

Laguna is nice, good surfing over there.

But yeah guess it can happen anywhere, I leave my hand tools in the extra-cab to my truck.

Haven't had a problem since.

And it wasn't too long after that that they got busted for dealing meth. Seems someone phoned in an anonymous tip.

Reminds me of the tale about my wife's dad and some of his buddies. They would steal watermelons from a neighbors patch when they were kids. Once when they got to the patch, there was as sign posted informing the thieves that one of the melons had poison in it.

The next day when the neighbor checked his melon patch, there was a new sign saying, " Now there are two you sob!".

I hate thieves (and liars) too, but that was funny.................. to me.

Re: Two Tool Boxes...GONE...

I can't find the video but a few years ago there was this incident where some guy got his laptop stolen and he was able to log on to it once the thieves used it to access the internet. He was able to see the guys on the built-in webcam and within 2 hours they were busted.

Re: Two Tool Boxes...GONE...

JJ,
When you do replace what's stolen, if the tool can be registerd online, for warranty, you'll always have access to that info in case an insurance claim comes into play.
