Re: Strange Stuff In HO's Homes

I met a contractor at a house a few months ago to look at a master bath remodel. Nice tract house , good neighborhood, the kind that could support our kind of work.

We approach the front door and he warns me the HO is not home and not to freak out when we go inside. I say wtf? He gets a rye smile and just asks me not to freak out. What ever, Ive seen plenty of weird stuff.

He opens the door and we are greeted by a big ass pig, 400-500 lbs easy. I am a bit startled and he is laughing. And it would nudge ya real hard lookin for a snack. Followed us around slammin it's nose into us every once in a while.

We push in farther and here comes 2 more. Not those little pot belly jobs, I'm talkin big suckers. Peak in the living room and there is another one laying on a mattress under some blankets snoring away. 4 pigs, at least 2000 lbs worth in the house hanging out like nobody's business.

Contractor really enjoyed not telling me what to expect. Thought he was being real funny. And it was, I admit. Not something you would think was even possible given the location.

Nice house too, clean, no smell. The only thing was down low on the door jambs the pigs would rub the paint clean off. And they had to put down trow rugs like sidewalks over the new hardwood floor for the pigs to walk on. They would go out back and do their business in a barked area of a beautifully landscaped yard.

That was strange right there.

Re: Strange Stuff In HO's Homes

a couple of years ago i was working on a basement remodel, it was very dated, there was a large room that was apart of an earlier addition which the ho was using to make homemade wine and storage. turned it into a home theatre

anyhow, the weird part is that the homeowners kids are all in their 20's only one of which still living at home while in university. the mother had kept just about every toy, book, piece of hockey equipment and clothing from the kids childhood. basically bins and bins and bins of rubbermaid jammed full.every time we wanted to work on a different room we would spend 2 hrs moving the bloody things. we offered to simply take it all to the dump but she wouldnt have it. but then got upset that the final bill was so much even though we told her if we have to move anything were going to charge for the time. she absolutely loved the final product but no refferral do to the moving charges

Re: Strange Stuff In HO's Homes

I done a job for a woman and she had everything that was electrical in the house wrapped up with tinfoil. She had just purchased 2 high end jvc video recorders that could play the tapes back at different speeds and in reverse. She said that she can use them to pick up secret messages the government transmit on tv. She also had tinfoil on all the ceilings in the house so they couldn't not track her funny thing was the guy I worked with went out on a date with her

couple of years back a buddy and I were running crown throughout most of this 60yo single womans house. While in her bedroom we discovered an object roughly the size of a baby's arm. Didnt have to look too hard, It was on her night stand.

Re: Strange Stuff In HO's Homes

7 or 8 years ago working in a single guys condo we were repainting the living room. Moved the sofa and found a huge purple dildo sitting on the floor. We seem to come across these from time to time but this was the first single guy that had one.

Someone mentioned dirty, dirtiest place ever for me was a house owned by a fat slob of a woman. Counter tops full of trash, sink and stove covered with old food cans and boxes as well as dishes. Repainting the kitchen I would cut in above the cabinets and roaches would run out as I dragged the brush right over the cabinet edge. She would talk about how she needed to clean so she would get a damp rag and lift up the trash on the counter tops with one hand, wipe the counter with the other and then put the trash right back where it was.

Re: Strange Stuff In HO's Homes

We found an old cast iron molding of the last supper inside a bedroom wall. It was probably at least 20 pounds. It was kind of creepy so we put it back inside the wall!

Years ago I did a service call for this pee wee hermanesque guy. Obviously single. He had plastic sheets on his bed and a gallon jar of vasaline on his nightstand. In one of the bedrooms there was only a chair in the middle of the room and tall stacks of magazines ceremonially placed in a circle around the chair. The other bedroom was a paper towel stockroom.

I used to work with a guy who had to replace a vinyl bathroom floor for some older woman and her daughter. They were hoarders... garbage hoarders. The house was fully stacked with it except for walkways. He said the house smelled so bad that he threw up in his mouth just walking through the living room! The bathtub (next to toilet) had a "fecal spray coating". To keep from vomiting he poured scented oil all over the bathroom while he replaced the vinyl. Im glad that wasnt me.

Installing windows in the master bedroom and the en-suite bathroom. Hanging on the back of the bathroom door was a black latex corset, black stockings and a whip.

The HO came in (a hot brunette MILF) removed the stuff, and said casually: "It was the husband's birthday yesterday."

Strangest thing ever -

Did a job years ago for a judge. His wife, on a scale of 1 to 10 was a 12.

Here and there throughout the house were proffesionaly taken full nude pics of her. Like full frontal and everything.

Boy, it was hard to get any work done.

Re: Strange Stuff In HO's Homes

Years ago I built a deck for a well known family with two kids in late teens. Extra polite, very nice folks. The kids did an excellent job keeping the the yard and especially the gardens in tip top shape. Always puttering around these 6 feet tall bushes, fertilizing, watering and mulching. They even helped some of their elderly neighbors, too. We were finished and loading tools when one of my guys commented on what kind of plants these kids were growing so successfully. I counted over 30 between their yard and the neighbors.

In the early 2000's was working part time for an excavation company owned by a family friend. We were contracted to excavate a slab that was poured for a never built barn on property that was recently purchased from the Federal Marshals. Part two was to build a pond in the designated area where the barn was to go.

About 5 feet down there it was - a dead body that the feds had been trying to put on the former owner for years.

Re: Strange Stuff In HO's Homes

Went to a home with over 80 exterior doors and windows.

Guy lets me in the front door and we as we pass through the house (it's unbelievably huge) we come to a monster set of pocket doors. He opens them into a room with what had to be 20 foot ceiling, and it's huge, really huge.

The entire floor is painted in the exact to scale reproduction of a monopoly board. Parked around the board are the players tokens, once again to scale. And the yellow and what.. Orange cards? It was all there including these huge foam dice. The only thing I didn't see but was probably in that house somewhere was huge fake monopoly money.

In the center or the room all by itself was a small table, four chairs, and a regular size monopoly board.

Darn room was big enough to get a half court basketball game going on.

Re: Strange Stuff In HO's Homes

I just hooked up a satellite dish for the master bedroom, I run upstairs into the master (door was open) I turn on the TV, everything works, turn around to leave...the lady HO is in her bed..with the blankets pulled up tight to her chin.

She smiles and says "Hi....don't mind me i'm just completely naked"...I saw a bottle of lube on the night table...it too a moment to register in my mind...boy was I embarrassed; she laughed I apologized...from that day forward I knock before entering a bedroom even if the door is open.

Even easier... We do work for "Entertainment" clients. As in Hollywood. Use your imagination. If you can think it I or one of my crew has most likely seen it. Our ahem discretion is one of the reasons we get to charge what we do with them. The other being we put up with the associated noise and high drama that comes with such clientele.
