Not trying to be offensive, but that photograph is not doing you any favors. A photograph of a well dressed business man, with logos on clothing, in an organized office setting, or on the job site would be much more in your favor.

Honestly, that photo is a bit scary. It looks a bit like you are a mafia hit man.

I think that the suggestion of English classes, even online ones, is a good one, and would help immensely.

I'm all about tilting at windmills, but you need to get a better lance.

I can't imagine any real lawyer responding to that ad. I think Craigslist is the root of many of your problems. You do seem like a very competent carpenter, and I give you credit for working hard here is the U.S., despite your language barriers. You would be better served to dismiss this whole fiasco, and get on with your life. With each chapter, your credibility suffers.

Just remember: Craigslist is a lifestyle choice.

Having followed your multiple attempts at being your own lawyer, none of which has advanced you in anyway except added frustration, and additional lost money/time, just trying to figure out what your end game is here...

If it's to be able to get the state to pay you for lost time/money as a carpenter as opposed to a trim guy for those three months, it's highly doubtful that will succeed because they didn't stop you from being a trim guy, and it would be impossible to quantify that amount to their satisfaction... If it's to be able to work as you wanted, it looks like you now can...

I'm guessing you got no reply to your Craigslist Ad for a lawyer, right? Why do you think that is? In the bankruptcy case, 50 other guys did what you didn't do for a reason, and according to your description, they HAD lawyers... why do you think that is?

I honestly thought when you started this thread, you were going to tell us how you prevailed somehow and won but it's just ANOTHER legal case... I understand your principle on this, but at some point, you have to ask yourself if by continually pursuing the same strategy (legal cases with no lawyer and an admitted issue getting the courts to understand you), are you not purposely screwing yourself even more?

They call it the School of Hard Knocks for a reason, and it just seems you don't want to admit you owe tuition... it's EVERYONE ELSE'S fault...

You came from another county, learned another language, went into business for yourself... aren't you better off turning your focus on moving your business and life forward rather than choosing to stay stuck in the mud?

I had enough of that "inspector" harassing me. I had to stand up finally. I allowed him it for 10 years or so. When he start blackmail me for green it become another story.
If any of creditors would stand up with me we would be capable to afford estimator for 2 debtors duplexes. So only lawyer brought his estimator to court and you know result. I can not stop wonder how debtor can bring his estimator? Should he be independent. Than second they would have to show up tax return if would be more of us. At court day it was me and 5 enemies.

Re: So I Was At Court Against Attorney General Office...

Aside from your legal issues...a few opinions about your CL ad:

1) Leveling floors with shims isn't rocket science, and I'm quite sure you're not the only one with the "big mental concentration" to do it.

2) Stop charging by the hour. If you want to figure your price that way, then do so, but what you charge per hour is nobody's business. Give them one total price. Hourly scares people..."is he slow firing to make an extra hour or 2?"..."what if he 'guessed' 6 hours that I can afford, but it takes him 20 that I can't afford?"

3) Your ad is way, WAY too busy. You don't have to explain every step of the process. To be honest with you, people don't care HOW it's done...just that it IS done. Stand behind your work, and you wont have to explain how you do things...all they'll care is that you're going to do it, and if it fails you're going to fix it, period.

4) Stop putting down other contractors for doing things differently than you do them, such as back-cutting vs. not back-cutting crown molding. For any given task, there are multiple methods to accomplish the same result...you do it your way and let them do it theirs.

5)You don't have to list every single thing you know how to do.

"I do most every aspect of general carpentry, along with some of the more precision tasks, such as trim and molding work. Give me a call to inquire about your project. If it's beyond my abilities, I'll be up front and honest about that too."

That's good enough.

6) Stop advertising on CL ....but if you think you MUST, see 1-5.

Oh yea, and take out the picture of you in your messy apartment. And if you just have to show yourself, put on some professional clothing and smile for cripe's sake.

And stop yelling...(capitalizing random words and phrases).
