You need to look when you are typing. What kind of gibberish is this? I know there is a story in there somewhere.

I'm trying real hard to get a visual on a "rolling scaffold palace".

Sounds like something from Tim Taylor's amusement park for men.

Re: Punch List Nightmare

I am assuming you choose to move your scaffolds around either by a helper moving them while a man is on top... of worse, you do the "hip wiggle boogie". While this is convenient, it is against many OSHA regulations. No one on any well-run job anymore gets to ride scaffolds. We just have to learn to live with it.

I also gather that you are being asked to repair the damage caused to your work by other trades. For no additional pay. Well, that is a 'balls' issue. You can choose to stand up for what is right or keep on hanging onto the job.

Or, at least this is what I THINK you were trying to say.

Ummm every contractor that actually follows OSHA has that rule.

Don't know if they are legal in OK, but in Oregon stilts are common and get around the no rolling bakers rule. Unless you are on some high freaking scaffold.

We will always expect more money to repair trade damage unless we have a deal worked out in advance with the GC (like one adjustment/correction after initial installation).

I will do freebies if they are convenient for me, and they actually result in favors or genuine gratitude from the GC. But even then, I draw the line at anything that will add up to or take more than an hour.
