Make sure all the measurements on a shop drawing are with in inches or feet and inches because a 34” cabinet looks funny in a spot for a 3’4” cabinet.

I recently drew shops for a kitchen and the cabinet maker gave me a hard time about that too... it was suddenly so obvious...

Don’t leave a job site in a hurry after hurrying to get measurements on a king post on a large log truss, to get to your grandpas funeral. I told my guy as I left, don’t screw it up it’s the only one we got

He didn’t screw it up, but I did. Cost of said post is $500. I woulda made more money taking the morning off.
