Ventured into commercial work. My 12 years experience has been primarily residential. Some before pics. Doing paint, electrical, carpentry, floor refinishing, transportation and installation of fixtures, graphics. Entire remodel to store opening. Some before pics.

Finished a store in the Chicagoland area, this one is in WI. The Dakotas and California after this one. Never worked on the road, with a great crew... aside from slight homesickness, it's been a blast.

I really had fun on the few store remodels I worked on. Nobody's stuff all over. You can really spread the tools out and set up a lot of tables and different workstations. Get to be a little more liberal with the radio volume.
I also found I enjoyed being around the hustle and bustle of Main St. while working. It's nice to step outside for a coffee and there's people rushing all around you. Keeps you "up".

Where in CA are you jumping to? That sounds like a blast.

It has been a blast. Been all over the eastern half of the US with this position in the last couple months. Going to Palm Desert, about 2 hrs due east of LA.

Did not know they closed the design center, they used to go ballistic when someone would take a picture, just go crazy.

Watch out for the place in Pine Brook that charges freight for everything even when you pick it up. Nothing like adding $100-$200 on an order that you already priced out.

If you guys venture east into Bergen, I've had good luck with Fuda before. I know they've got a couple stores. Good showroom, good reps, just the right of greasy Italian, which really is what you want when you're shopping marble.

Haven't done a jobsite video in about 1.5 years, but this is a soffit, fascia, frieze coil wrap job I did (by myself) in 2012.
