Those pictures only show half the room. Samson is standing right behind the camera, doing his thing.

But seriously, how is that standing?

Re: Post A Picture Of Your Current Job -- Part II

"How's it standing?" That was a vaild question before we demoed! There is a site built scissor truss for a majority of the roof. Also we have some temp supports in place to allow us to work. It is framed very weird. It is an old lake cottage and we are adding on and re-doing a lot. A lot if old native lumber. We have been very cautious as we cut things apart.

Client is awesome. Fun project.

I did notice the scissor trusses, but also the cut CJs so it's odd. Looks fun though. I've done 7 or 8 whole house remodels and the closer you demo to that level, the better!

Re: Post A Picture Of Your Current Job -- Part II

Yeah I know what you mean. We have done a bunch of old cottage remodels and I like to say we do surgical demo. You definitely don't just start hacking stuff out. The corner where we cut the joists is also a hip and is tied together quite well at the ridge.

The way we did the floor we were able to bring the floor very close to level, but more importantly it is now flat and the rotten sills have been replaced.

Just one.Previous siding was rough cut pine full of carpenter bees,1"
slaps that were barely nailed on after 60 years to the weather.
Plus a shot from my view at the brake.

And shrinks A LOT if the moisture content is slightly too high when installed.
