Paint/Stain Sprayer For Compressor

I have a six gallon pancake compressor that I'd like to use with a sprayer on occasion, to complete smaller paint /stain projects more quickly.

Can a smaller compressor like mine run a sprayer of any kind effectively?

Any recommendations for brands, if so?

Specifically for now, I'm thinking of a decl we're staining next week. We do 90% of our decks with stain pads, but I'd like to spray the large amount of lattice work this deck has.

Look at the C.A.T. Lynx 100 gun. It may do the trick for you, but the compressor will not be happy.

Ive got an asturo gun with pressure pot for my small compressor. Works fine. If i' prefinishing sheet goods spraying continuous it horses the compressor pretty hard. I always have enough cfm to keep going nonstop though.

In a pinch a few years back I used a Harbor Freight HVLP gun with my 6gl pancake, where we painted all the patio railings, for a golf resort/hotel with oil based paint.
