Materials are cheaper than labor

I had a partner I just got rid of because I had to do things like literally push him out of the way because I got tired of waiting on him to cut me some material. And saying things like "STOP USING THE SPEED SQUARE TO DRAW A LINE ON EVERY PIECE OF WOOD! THAT EXPENSIVE SAW WILL CUT THE STRAIGHT LINE!"

That saw will only go in the direction the operator points it....

if he can't point it in a straight line.....

I read something on here not long ago. Went something like "the guy saying it can't be done needs to get out of the way of the guy already doing it."

I have harbor freight for vinyl siding
Task force for framing sites
Rigid for cutting hickory logs for the smoker
But the shiny dewalts are straight (most of the time)

The bitter taste of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of a cheap price is gone

I heard this yesterday while talking about employees.

If you have to be on every project you don't own a business - you own a job.

That's idiotic. You own a business if you get the profit and not just wages

If it was easy, the plumber would be doing it.
