A nice patch and paint stroke of luck.
Got called for a patch and paint. Kid kicked a hole in the wall horsing around. Ok, fine.
Really wasn't excited to do two days at this place, but figured I'd hope for the best.

My lucky stars. The hole was exactly centered on, and one foot above, the floor register, and these people kept their place HOT.
3 rounds of Easy 5, 3 coats of shellac primer, 2 coats of Regal in 4 hours.

As if that wasn't awesome enough, they already had the paint. The can wasn't a crusted mess, and it actually blended so I didn't have to paint the entire wall.

Some days the wind really is at your back. Couldn't believe my luck.

I think I would of offered to just supervise the kid while he cleaned up his own mess.

This is good too. Between the time she called me and when I showed up, a span of two days, her other son broke a glass cabinet front trying to climb to the top of it to retrieve a ball.

It was actually nice to see boys going ape**** instead of just looking at their phones. I told them both they owed me big for getting them out of the jackpot before Thanksgiving company arrived.

Yes! This is the one that got me in trouble!

So obviously Turkey Day is Thursday, but on Wednesday we were having a get together at the assisted living place my Grandmother is at. I had to bring a side and a dessert to that, as well as prep everything for T-Day at our place on Thursday. No sweat. I'm a retired cook. I got this. On Monday this woman, who I've done work for before, calls me and asks me to do this patch and paint thing before company comes over on the holiday. Like I said in the Penthouse, if the ground was covered in $100 bills, at what point would you stop picking them up?
Of course I say yes. Wife asks me when I'm getting everything out of the oven and into the car. I say, "Oh yeah, no big deal. I'm going to heat everything after I get home from this job which will definitely not go past 1, so plenty of time to heat everything and bring it over by 2."
She calls me an idiot, etc, since obviously you can't work/drive/bake at the same time.
Whatever. Money still spends, doesn't it? You'll note that I'm sitting here talking to y'all while she's at the auction buying god knows what with that money. I gave her a 50lb/10cu/$50 cap. We'll see how she does.
