The Next List

This horse died long ago and has had the crap beat out of it but lets dip down in our repertoire and pull out some short goldies for the new kids.

Never talk money on the phone
If your help feels he's making you money he's probably costing you it.
Never hire the man who will work the first day for free
It's one thing to ask for big money ....it's another to ask and expect to get it.
Money is made of paper as well.
Don't fight the current .......step aside.
Never let your pecker have your wallet.

anyone else?

The customer may be right, but your the expert, so be in charge.
Never say "No problem".
Don't borrow the customers vacuum cleaner, ever.
Be slow to argue, fast to respond.

From a sign that hung in the Mill Pond Milk Store;

Rule #1 The customer is always right.
Rule #2 Read rule number one.

Experience from real life;

The customer may not always be right, but he is always the customer.

and

Never lend anything you haven't already said goodbye to.

Good Luck

Never do work for a family member. Quickest way to destroy the family.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

ANYTHING you do to my daughter on a date, I do to you when you return.

Re: The Next List

Started out saying " Don't ask stupid questions".

changed that to "no such thing as a stupid question".

finally " There are stupid questions, but a stupid question is easier to answer then a stupid mistake is to fix, so ask the stupid question"!

Re: The Next List

Do it.
Do it right.
Do it right now.

The primary aim of business is to make a profit.
Learn to profit from other's mistakes by learning from them.
Not all profit is measured in dollars.

Reasons are not excuses and excuses are not reasons. Don't mix them up.

and the number one rule.... Get a damned contract that protects you and your client. Oh, and sign the damned thing.
