New Drywall Hanger...for Me....

Had to hang a pretty large framed mirror yesterday...36 wide by 42 long. Heavy sucker.

I ordered one of these as they are rated for 200 lbs in 1/2" drywall.

I used 100 lb picture wire.

I was impressed with this thing.

I figured the mirror came in at probably 50 lbs but...I'm not good at judging weight.

I did a lot of pulling and tugging on it before I walked away and said...there ya go lady.

Re: New Drywall Hanger...for Me....

It always amazes me that they say the smaller types with only three nails will hold 100 pounds.

Not 100 pounds of anything I own.

I do the same thing. Pull on it and test it... until it pulls out of the wall. Then I tell my wife, "See, I told you it wouldn't work".

Then she gives me the stink eye.
