New Construction Windows With Dark Interior Finish?

Hi Guys, Im having a bit of trouble finding new construction vinyl casement windows with both black/dark brown exterior AND interior finishes (including grills) The only options I can find are Anderson 400. They would work but are soooo over budget! The house has 65 windows... Lots of Companies make the dark exteriors but the interiors are white. This look and style is really becoming popular. I think many manufacturers will soon make these color options in an affordable vinyl.

Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions! Cheers Erik

Soft-Lite had in the past with their older extrusions (Pro/Classic, Barrington, and Baindbridge series available with a medium brown int/exterior finish. It's a vinyl product and they offer integral factory installed nailing flanges. I don't know if they can do the nailing flange return and face in any other color but white or possible tan/almond.

I don't sell those lower lines from SL but it's worth a try. Several national building supply chains have accounts with Soft-Lite like Lansing. Good Luck.

Vinyl already moves a lot compared to glass. Dark colors would really compound this.

Soft-Lite sash to master frame tolerance should be loose enough provided a precision installation. Soft-Lite utilizes Q-lon weatherstripping unlike the rubber bulb system on a tighter tolerance unit like Sunrise. Chances are the SL color is too light in comparison to a darker bronze that was desired. I hate those brown vinyl windows myself and never do them unless my arm is twisted. Better play it safe and just put in some Eagles or just sub the job out to RBA LOL……….About that budget?

Aren't Anderson 400s pine interior?

Marvin would be my pick, but if Anderson is way over budget I doubt Marvin will be.

Milgard has a "painted" finish option for the exteriors on their Vinyl Tuscany series. I've never asked if they will do that on the interior, but if you have a dealer close by that may be an option.

And yes, I agree that dark colors on vinyl windows are a bad idea.

Re: New Construction Windows With Dark Interior Finish?

I get asked this three or five times every year. Usually to match an cedar interior and exterior.

Always a pain and haven't really found anything that is budget freindly. I found one manufacturer, can't remember who that would send them out for paint.

The window would be like 400 bucks and then another 400 bucks to paint it. That blows the budget for a 3x3 window.

This is for a full vinyl which is what people around here usually want.

I believe Quaker you can get black and brown. We installed vinyls with white exterior and brown interior recently.

Try BF Rich windows out of Newark Delaware. I know that they have a program where they will apply a paint to their vinyl windows.

Re: New Construction Windows With Dark Interior Finish?

We have used bronze Jeld-Wen A200s on a couple of projects and been happy with the results. They are aluminum and so might not work with traditional designs, but for contemporary projects they are not bad, and not that expensive either.
