My Phone Has Stopped Ringing.....

For the last 5 years....website, local yahoo listing, flyers to local residentail building superintendents, sales and service people and 3 different postings on CL. Licensed, bonded and BBB accredited.... Let alone all the clients I've done work for in the past as far as referrals. Never a complaint, nothing but happy clients.
I got 1 out of the last 5 crown bids and thats in OCT.. I even lowered my price on the last one....no go! In the past I always got the go ahead on all bids. WTF! Not only am I not winning bids....my phone has stopped ringing!
Time to look through the employment adds....working for $14hr 70+miles away does not seem practical!

Re: My Phone Has Stopped Ringing.....

I know the feeling. We are doing everything we can to keep our noses above water. Calls had seemed to pick up a week or so ago, but now that it's the holiday and summer coming in it seems to have slowed again. Good luck, let me know if you find something that makes the phone ring again.

I had to go back to commercial interiors over the winter to make ends meet. Do what you got to do to bridge the slow times. The phone will start ringing again.

Not so fast. Let's talk more about your marketing and see what we could do differently to get the phone ringing. Explain in detail exactly what you are doing and the frequency in which you do it. Lots of things you can do right away to get you back on track.

Re: My Phone Has Stopped Ringing.....

I went two weeks without a phone call and that never happens. I then got an email from a customer asking me if my cell phone was disconnected. I said "no, why do you ask?". She told me the phone doesn't ring, it just goes blank and hangs up.

I called US Cellular and went to the store. Turns out the original Samsung Galaxy android phone has serious issues and they took it off the market ........ then updated the phone. Now I have the motorola but honestly anything Android SUCKS including the lag in emailing. Iphone is by far the superior phone and that's my next purchase.

Unless you are using microsoft exchange server you are forced to use imap/pop on both iphone or android...same bananas. Blackberry's business internet server monitors all your accounts and pushes email to your devices...a much better email service so long as the BIS doesn't go down.

iOS has a better generic email app than any android device, and the android email apps vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Even the aftermarket email apps arn't as snazzy as the one iOS uses. But where android rules in the Gmail app. Use gmail and all your email problems will be a thing of the past.

I do use that. I went to an Android forum and many people have this issue as well. When i had my BB phone my emails were lighting fast and never an issue. It's frustrating.

Yep you can't beat BB for email, but iOS isn't a lick better than Android for email...if you want BB like performance on either you have to pay for Microsoft exchange server.

Why didn't your wife or kids or parents or friends or coworkers alert you?

Like most I would have known within the first hour that something was horribly wrong.

My wife tests my phone at least 3 times a day to make sure it's working. Lol

I'll second gmail (business APPs) on android being awesome...I can sit at my mac at home, watch the email notification pop up on the mac then within 1-2 seconds receive the notification on the gmail app on the phone. I am using an Incredible 2...likely to pick up the Iphone 5 in the fall.

Because it seemed to work intermittently. I would also make calls just fine but receiving them was a different story. Even now with my new Motorola Electrify I'm still having issues with my Gmail.

I just don't get it. One thing for sure is I'm not alone, the tech guy at US Cellular has told me others have had intermittent problems with lag time on emails. Now, it could be a signal issue but I normally have a decent signal.

Man I would be getting a new carrier right away even if I had to pay out a contract. I don't see how you guys can afford to be missing calls and mail for weeks at a time. I would be in bankruptcy court for sure.
