Tell your customer to tell her friend Good luck...I was just in Miami, went down there for 4th of July. I hear prices for remodeling are crazy down there... Have lots of friends and family there and the prices are crazy when they tell me what they pay for remodeling...

I was looking at the empty lot on Collins and 1st ave. 50x130 they asking price is 4.5M, they said it's approved for 14 room Hotel. I told them I can barely put a 2,700 SF house on 50x100 lot LOL

Re: Job Request

Nothing wrong with a good lead and nothing wrong with someone making some money on a lead. What I was saying and am saying is there are way to many people out there trying to make money on doing nothing. Obviously I am wrong about this guy from other posts but I have seen a lot of situations where someone is always looking for a way not to work. I am a general and I make money on all my subs, but I am also the one getting them there, calling them, getting the stuff they need and also the one who is in trouble when they don’t get done in time. Summary: I figured the guy was just trying to make money on a lead that didn’t even sound promising but I probably shouldn’t be assuming that either.

You're barking up the wrong tree.

I'm a General contractor also and I don't make money on my subs, I make money off the job management and making sure the job is completed on time and my customers are completely satisfied.

As my subs go, I give them jobs and I want to see them make money because when they make money and profit from the job, they do the job well, I don't need to babysit them and they finish everything on time... VS. When you try to make money off them by beating down their rates so you can put more in your pocket and to a point where they have no interest in the job or care about finishing the job on time. Seen this 100 times and everyone who did that got nowhere.

That said, you should worry and count your own money and how you handle your business instead of worrying about what someone else is doing.

Good luck

I'd wager Greg is more about vetting a possible recommendation. Also, just who are you and what have you contributed here?

I don't know why, but I take offense to what that guy said. It's kinda like someone talking **** about my brother. I can talk all the **** I want about him, but if you do as a stranger, you're going to need to kick my ass to keep from getting a beat-down and throat punch.
