Job Request

To NJ Contractors,

I had a job request for a complete house remodeling. The house located in Deptford, NJ 08096 which is out of my service area.
I looked up on Google it's a small ranch house and it needs complete remodeling in and out.
If anyone in that area and you interested, please PM me with your email and we will discuss and take it from there.

Thanks!

Re: Job Request

So r u saying u want to try and make some money off of giving someone a “maybe” “could be” customer. I am not wanting to say something rude but you have no idea if they are even serious about doing the remodel and doesn’t sound like you know them either. If I am wrong about any of this then I apologize but if I was a customer and someone said they didn’t have time to do then I would find someone else that I know or someone that was recommended.

As a respected member here, more likely Greg is more concerned about vetting anyone he'd recommend for the job than profiting from handing it off. He's no lead services weasel.

That's on the wrong side of Cherry Hill for me, it'd be over an hour drive without traffic

Nope. But I think it is more the snarky way the low poster was insinuating the fact that it was a money play.

Jeez, the internet is nutty today.

Though, I agree, it was most likely mainly to vett a possible referral.

Re: Job Request

Fellas,

Let me clear something up here.

I am not looking to recommend anyone for this job.

I got a job request from a customer, I told them this is out of my service area and I wished them good luck with their project.
They asked me if I could recommend someone.

I told them that I belong to a Contractor Blog and that there a few reputable contractors from NJ...I said I can't recommend anyone because I never worked with them, but if you like I can ask and if anyone interested I will get you their information and the rest is up to you.
They said that would be great, End of the story.

As making money goes, I never ask or expect anything (not that there is something wrong with it if I did)...

If someone can do the job, I'm glad to be of help. If they wanna give me a taste for it, it's up to them... If they wanna buy me lunch for it, that's fine also... If they don't wanna give me anything, that's fine also because it's not expected.
A simple Thank you is more than enough and most likely it will go a longer way than a kickback.

Happy Contracting!

I think most of us knew why you posted the way you did, I doubt the customer would have been happy with you putting all their info online for us to see

Which park in Princeton Collection development? I just did a deck right behind that park, off a Parker Rd.

We use that field every once in a while, a little strange playing in the middle of a development

Re: Job Request

that's the exact same conversation I just had with my customer. she has a friend in Miami Beach looking for a great contractor to remodel her home. Told her get me some details and I'll ask around on my contractors forum and may be able to pass along a name or two. I would only do so if I had a good feel for the person, but it's just about trying to help out someone.
