Re: Instructions Of How To Run A Business

ROFLMFAOLOL!

I've only ever had one employee at a time, and I do value their opinions. I realize that people have different perspectives, and listening to them can give me insight. If I don't agree, it's my money, my customers, my risk, my call. If they don't like it, they are free to go somewhere else.

Now to humor "Noodle Boy" for a minute ... lets say that there is a decision to be made, and everyone sits around the round table as "equals" and a decision is made by the "panel board of misdirection" that the special sauce is too expensive, and if we made the sauce a cheaper way, the employees could get a dollar / hour raise each. What happens when it doesn't go over well with the customer? The special sauce just isn't the same!

Ok, so the employees got their dollar, so they are happy. My customers however, start eating elsewhere. My business tanks, and I lose everything. The employees lost a job. They can go to work for the restaurant down the street where my former customers are now eating. I lost my life savings. How equal is that?

How can anyone think that people with no vested interest should have ANY decision making capacity? How can they think they are equals with the owner - an owner who puts his blood, sweat, tears, and life savings into their business? What did they bring other than a warm body, and desire to get a paycheck?

The day "Noodle Boy" puts his own money up in an inherently risky venture is the day he gets to call some shots - and I bet his tune changes then! The guy acts like he is enslaved by "Noodles", and has no say in what goes on in his life. How about taking some responsibility? Oh yeah, it's easier to join a socialist group and whine about how everyone is equal ...

Everyone isn't equal. That's why "needs" based systems like communism and socialism don't work. I really REALLY need 100 billion dollars, and you all should give it to me!

Re: Instructions Of How To Run A Business

I don't think he understands the "socialist" ways. The uppity uppers dictate everything and you have little if any choices. You are assigned a job by the government and that is what you do whether you like it or not. You are equal to everyone else, with no power. Only the elite have the power, and you will not be one of them.

So he is trying to say the the business owner should provide a workplace for them and they get to rule how everything goes. So, what is the owners function? To provide them with pay to let the employees do as they please. Get real. This guy doesn't have a clue....not a single one.

Noodle boy...It is better to just sit there and look dumb as a box of rocks, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Link workie - it's an MHT file (mhtml), so you have to download an add on for firefox (UnMHT) or use IE. Mhtml was developed by microsoft in the late 90's. It allows you to save a web page and it's resources (images, videos etc) in one file.

Makes you wonder why even today when you save a web page in IE, it saves a folder with the resources

Oh, if you download UnMHT, the link for some reason won't be a link anymore - you get a text cursor over it, so I copypasta'd into another tab.

There's another addon for mhtml too - haven't tried it.

Exactly. What choices does he think he will have in a socialist system? If he were to have to live under his prized socialist system, he wouldn't have any choices at all. As it stands, he can find an employer that values his opinion, or open up his own damn restaurant!

Re: Instructions Of How To Run A Business

Down with capitalism man.

Except, I still need a job, so don't fire me for a better worker.

Sadly my generation is the Entitlement Generation, everyone has been told from birth that they are special, they deserve things, and they will go far. Unfortunatley no one filled us in about the whole "fortune being made from the sweat of my brow" aspect.

My sister is 5 years younger from me and flunked out of college and I saw this first hand, the became a waitress and within 3 weeks started whining that she didn't get paid enough, and deserved more money, better shifts, blah, blah, blah. I told her to go back to college and learn a marketable skill if she wanted to be paid for what she knows. Her boss is taking all the risk, paying the licenses, finding good employees, getting customers. All my sister has to do is show up and do a halfway decent job, she still doesn't get it though.

Re: Instructions Of How To Run A Business

I couldn't even watch all of it. I agree, when any of them invest their own money, blood sweat and tears into something they can have a say.

These are not the kind of people that get anything done. They bitch but won't step up when work needs doing.

The "entitlement" generation. Better watch out, the Chinese are eating us for lunch as we speak. They are as serious as a heart attack while these idiots rant about foolishness.

Don't get me started. I'd love to get them on a job site and yell at them to "move your ass" this has to be done TODAY.

Re: Instructions Of How To Run A Business

I am with you Katoman I stopped about mid way couldn't watch anymore. Just a big train wreck. The sad part is this country has many that think this way and Madison has it's share.

How do these people think the "system" has money in the first place for the entitlements?
I do think I should let that guy come and take over my business, I will just give it to him. Why not? Just kidding.

CAPITALISM

And it's not a geographic thing. It's the same here as in the US.

Strange, I don't know where they get this kind of thinking from in the first place.
