It amazes me that there is one on here that when he speaks, it is almost like the E F Hutton ( I think that was the name) commercial. People not only listen, but bow in his presence for his guru business advice. But when you look at his past posts on this subject, he seems rather quiet. Been called on it once and never gave a straight answer, unless you read between the lines. These lines have a lot between them. I am not judgin ghim really. What I am curious about is is he wrong, a traitor to the trades. Or, is he ahead of the curve? He may very well be ahead of the curve, just not politically correct at this time.
OK, I'll bite. Who are talking about?

And I humbly agree, for I am, at MOST, one of those "Good Eggs". I do, however, have my times of "Less Than Stellar Behavior"!!!!! But that IS who I AM!

I do hope that you are one of the "Good Guys" as well!

Re: Habla Espanlo?

Have the laws not become easier to become an American citizen? Also is it not a requirement to speak english to become a citizen? Or to get work papers to work here?? I have not had to deal with it enough to know.

The few I ever had dealings with working for me, did speak english so was never a problem and was before it became common seeing s many on so many different jobs.
I have been in trouble with the employment commision for not hiring a diversity of workers when having over 30 employees, ( I don't recall the # of employees before there has to be a diversity of employees, I just had 30 something at the time)
Each time I received a letter for a hearing and went in, I said the same, I run help wanted adds, I do not specify white, black, hispanic, I list qualified workers, must have tools, own truck & drivers lisc and speak english a must.
What ever their nationality is makes me no mind, they fit the description they get a job. I refuse to hire any that don;t unless you, (the state) wants to pay me for their time as well as my time spent on them.
Tell me "I must" and give me a date to comply, the day prior I will gladly close the doors on my business. Thank you & have a good day!!
I did get threatened by them one day for another add I had in the paper looking to hire "New England stick builders" hahaha, glad they caught it the last day it was runnig in the paper and I had hired all I was looking for. They say that is being prejudice and I could be sued. --=oops
It was like they did nothing but read help wanted adds. It is expensive running help wanted adds, dang it.
I agree everyone has a right to work and earn a decent living, better then them going on welfare and taking states money, in turn causing more taxes needed. But speak English and do the work hired for is all.
Just glad I don't have to deal with that today, I had enough headaches from some that did speak english.

Heheh, not talking about you, Malco, nor anyone else in this thread at this time.

I'm just saying I kind of feel this situation is not going away. Some will learn to work it to their advantage before others will. They may not like it, but things have changed and will continue to.

Just my curious thoughts on it. Believe me, I can see both sides and have mixed thoughts on the situation.

2 sided or blind sided? Both at some time or other I bet.
When I saw a 40 house developement going up near here I don't rememeber seeing any white or black people there. It seemed like every or every other house was being done by what I assumed to be Mexican crews. I expected the running of the bulls at any time. They had streets blocked off to thru traffic, and it looked almost like little Mexico as far as the inhabitants I saw.

Someone propably saved enough to buy a ....senate seat. Maybe not, inflation seems to be affecting everything negatively. I'm not sure there are that many legals in this state. Okay, okay, this county or surrounding counties. Hmm, there is that chicken processing plant in Franklin County. You get my drift. I have never seen that many of another nationality in one area in this country. Some even did work on the Home Builders Association building here by the house.

I know I do not have any clout around here, but I like to think maybe that is not sarcasm. If it is, so be it, just giving my thoughts.

Well, if you call a good guy the offspring of Irish immigrants mixed with native Americans (how's that for a drinkin' club?), then yeah, that's me.

I believe in America they way IT WAS INTENDED TO BE, which in some cases resembles what we see today and some ways not.

Additionally, I believe in the SPIRIT of most of the laws of the land, but sometimes the letter of the law has been perverted, and for what, I ask?

Some of you guys will think I am "not old school" like you. But the fact is that I am very old school. The school where we all are equal and have the chance to make our own way.

This, my friends, is a BRILLIANT post! It speaks COMMON TRUTH, which is VERY UNCOMMON, and REAL sentiment!
