Grumpy, I salute you!

I wish others would do the same. Uplifting, helpful, and that sort of thing you know.

It's obvious tha most here want to find something WRONG with EVERY post, from everyone. That is good way to stop SYNERGY right in it's tracks.

The saftey glasses are a good idea of course. But has everyone here never done something like that. If he was up there shooting 100's of nails, he might have worn them. Geez, give the guy a hand not try to put him down.

Paul
p.s you do owe me an apology though

That's what you'd think, huh? Well, that logic is flawed. Add up Teetor's stuff, and you'll conclude he's between 150 and 200 years old.

Just more proof of the "staged" photo shoot.

I almost never use saftey glasses... Usually only after getting a lot of sawdust in my eyes will I go and look for my sunglasses.

First time Grump puts a picture up and what happens... we tear him apart...

I must admit though I used to think you were a lot older too. From the wisdom you imparted on this forum I figured that you must have been at least 40. Turns out your the same age as me?

I have a lot of work to do...

You are right I do as LITTLE as possible field work. But the thing is I have done the field work and I know how to do the field work, I just dislike doing the field work. I was just doing some training, because though my 2 repair guys can replace and flash a skylight in their sleep I was concerned about their carpentry skills because this was a new install.

In regards to the rationalization about saftey glasses it's simply this. I don't think they are necessary. I was using the "nobody else does it" excuse as a point that most people don't think they are necessary either. Let's face it one of these nail guns would blow through the glasses and what the F+++ would I be pointing the gun at my face?!

Like I said, you just don't have enough time behind one to know what you are talking about. You don't need to ever be pointing a nail gun at your face in order to be hit by a nail from one. Anybody thinking the only injury you can get from one is a dead on shot that would go through safety glasses crys out they have no experience with the tool in question. You're on the losing side of this one, you better stay in the office where it's safe before you hurt yourself.
