Going To The Trex Factory


I will be going on a tour of the Trex deck company plant. We will see how its made and get installation demonstrations NOV 18.

The Plants in VA anyone want an invite??

would be interesting, don't think I can make it to the area, got a bachelor party in ND that weekend, too many flights make me grumpy.

well, it's on wednesday, party starts friday afternoon. I "could" technicaly make it, but I'll have to pass this time.

I did the Fernley, NV plant tour a couple of years ago. Good eats, good drinks the night before! Almost got rid of the hangover before we made to the plant the next morning! Interesting plant - but check out the raw materials...trucks of plastic and wood pieces coming from everywhere. Hard to guarantee the finished board when you don't know exactly what's going in. Testing area was cool though...

To COMPLETELY know how to control and manipulate a product, substance, machine or HUMAN, it is IMPERATIVE to know not just how it is made and how it works by WHY it is as it is.

The plant will CERTAINLY supply a lot of the HOW but it will supply an answer to the WHY that one CAN NOT obtain by installation and usage.

Not to mention the stuffs that RBS has outlined!!!!
