Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

Lawn and Garden maintenance, yea I do my own.

I'm on 80 acres in the middle of nowhere, so I use everything from weedwhackers to brush mowers, chainsaws, skidders, skid-steers, loader/backhoes, pressure washers, blowers, graders, dump trucks, walk-behind plow, and a herd of goats. And a bunch of people. I don't do it all myself.

It's not a yuppie little lawn up here.

At least I killed most of the bears.

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

I would only pay someone else to care for my yard if I was physically incapable of doing so.

I currently use a corded electrical hedge trimmer, and gas-powered string trimmer and leaf blower. It's a pretty sizable yard; it would be interesting to see if that battery-powered set is up to the task.

I do. But it isn't much to take care of. So I just use a gas powered weed wacker and a gas powered blower.

I do my own. Toro lawn mower + string trimmer occasionally + blower to clear the sidewalk and patio.

[ Side note: I bought the M18 compact blower on a whim and love it for clearing saw dust from my cut areas, patios, etc. One handy tool. ]

As my house is in a forest there is always yard work for me to do. I did quite watering the lawn years ago, but still maintain it during the wet season.

Tools: Everything needs to be cordless as extension cords don't go far enough.

Stihl backpack blower gas. Would be nice to have a quick, quiet means to blow the deck off.

Echo hedge trimmer. Poor thing is wore out, but served me well for over a decade.

Shindaiwa string trimmer.

Snapper lawn mower.

Husky chainsaw.

Echo pole saw.

Tanaka top handle chainsaw.

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

I maintain my entire yard, bushes, shrubs, trees, grass, etc. Currently everything I use is gas powered. Maintaining a pristine yard is something I have always striven to do. There is no excuse for overgrown vegetation at a livable home.

Everything myself. Not a big yard, but i'm redoing the landscaping this year. Everything is corded now, but once everything is done, i'm sure i'll go cordless.

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

I have a micro yard but within a couple years I'll have acreage. Either way, I'll always maintain it myself. I still have a Honda mower I bought when I was 14, 22 years ago.

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

We have a good sized place. Sometimes the gas gear is too much to drag out. A battery powered set would be perfect. I've been looking at the Dewalt stuff, but am thinking about switching to Red all the way around.

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

Between my wife and myself we handle everything on the property.

We use a Yardworks tractor, Husqvarna push mower, and Toro gas powered trimmer, hedge shears, blowers, and chain saws.

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

Special note...

We do NOT limit the giveaways to only those with a minimum number of posts. Attracting new contractors to the site is an ongoing goal of mine. Some will stay and some will not, much like me visiting a store because of a sale on something I want. If I like the store I will return to it. If not, I move along. The giveaways are shared here in the community, a select number of sister sites, and also on social media. Our sponsors often do the same.

Your post (in this thread) needs to be a response to the question that was asked or it will be removed and not counted as an entry for the giveaway.

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

Heck no,I don't do my own yard work. With two sons in the landscape business and them using my property for their "base camp" I try not to even be home when the lawnmowers are buzzing.

They have all the latest and greatest equipment, zero turns etc.

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

I do my own

Nice new deere 960m zero turn mower with a 60" deck

I mow my acreage and my hog site

Between the two it's about 2 acres of grass to mow

Use skid steers, chains saws and things to clean up trees. But I mostly just mow grass right now, no trimming or fancy stuff like that!

Re: GIVEAWAY: Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Outdoor Power Equipment

I do my lawn and my rental properties myself. It can get pretty busy especially in the spring. I recently purchased the Kobalt weed trimmer and blower. I like them both, but the trimmer only takes Kobalt preloaded wire which is expensive and annoying to us. I have my eye on the Milwaukee set and would love to upgrade.
