Re: Forget Dumpsters Bagsters From Now On!

We don't use dumpsters in our line of work but we bought a big Bagster to use when we stripped shingles off part of our roof at the summer place. We set it on the trailer, filled it up with shingles, and drove it to the dump where the guy there just picked it up with the forklift and dumped it out. We didn't have a dump trailer there and it was much easier than having to empty the trailer by hand at the dump.

After that we didn't have much use of it so I attached 2x2s around the inside seams to give it some shape and I hook it to the mower to drag branches and grass clippings to the woods. Sure beats using a wheelbarrow.

In more than one tied kitchen bag? Someone stole his mail put the mail in multiple kitchen bags with other trash and threw it in our dumpster. That's what I was thinking.

Not about economics, is about logistics.

Fact is, except for the paved road, that could pass for my driveway...
I can get 11 yard dumpsters. I can keep one on your drive indefinitely. So I don't have that issue.

The past two months I've had one on my drive because the jobs were either too short or I didn't want to take up their drive with it.

And even if I did have a logistics issue and couldn't have one at home or on the site, I have two removal companies that will come and haul away for $50 a ton.

On top of that my scrapper takes all the metal and even offers a piece of the pie. I've never taken it, he's already saving me time and money.

Forgot to mention my carpenter takes all of the burnable wood home for his firepit and bonfires.

It really doesn't work that way around here.

But it can get worse:
On the big res build out I did, would set 2 roll-offs - one for wood, other for all other build scraps. Sales gal gets a call - newly moved in HO is p*ssed, soemone just set off 20-25 bags of garbage beside the roll-off to friggin lazy to throw them in.

Next thing I know, I've got an county sheriff car pulling up on her complaint, explaining to me she has the right to demand I/we be written up for public health violation - ON MY PROPERTY (empty lots)!!!

So yup, Mr Green-Guy Earth Friendly is about to get it in the arse anyway.

But ya know what, I got pay backs on both accounts by the end of the day.

Vengeance is so sweet!

There's a story about a guy who attempted to kill his best friend with a knife.

However what really happened is that said guy who got stabbed posed as a spy who wanted to recruit the guy who did said stabbing but told him the only way he could be recruited is if he killed his friend.

Why did that happen? because the guy was in love with him so he created a fake internet girl and then introduced himself to the guy so they became friends.

Then he pretends to be a psycho who threatened to kill both him and the non existent girl if he didn't perform sexual acts in front of a webcam.

Then when he finally realized the guy wasn't gay he cooked up the spy story to committee suicide. All the while the other guy knew none of this until it was admitted in court.

Now after reading that does someone going through a persons garbage to get multiple letters with their name on it only to put them in household trash to dump illegally into a random dumpster in order to attempt to get them into legal trouble seem farfetched?

Re: Forget Dumpsters Bagsters From Now On!

We only use cans. Our shop can is 30 yards. I compact it with the backhoe at least 4 times before its hauled out. Not sure how the drivers feel but its never been a issue. I bet we get 45 yard of loose debris into a compacted 30 yard can.
We have a minimum of 4 cans at any given time. The dumpster company does not charge any weight overages for the shop can.

There's people who willingly walk in front of cars in order to perform insurance fraud.

When I was 13 a "friend" hid several drops of acid in my locker and then told the principal because he though I ratted him out for drinking alcohol in the boy washroom.

So yeah I think it's fully possible.

It was trash, not murder, not suicidal tendencies, not drugs, just someone's garbage. I just don't believe it was a conspiracy.

Now Mike, I have a current customer that would talk your ear off that it was because of Planet X and Fallen Angels. BTW, did you know the elite wealthy have built bunkers?!? They even have yachts buried down inside them too!
