Forget Dumpsters Bagsters From Now On!

Saw this the other day. And to think I've been wasting all of that money on dumpsters. I just need to learn how to pack a Bagster.

I'm estimating 4 bags short.

Those things work good, we did a penthouse reno, filled 16 of them! Had a crane show up plucked them off the top and right into the bin still loaded on the truck

Bagster is the perfect example of "what they don't tell you" when you see it on the commercial and in those DIY renovation shows.

I've seen them sitting at the Blue Store and thought it wouldn't hurt to grab one just in case. Are they worth the price?

Its like $30 for the bag and $165 in my area to pick up. If you have two the service is $134. They hold something like 3 or 3 1/2 yards. So for as much as I can get a 20 yards I can get 6-7 yards.

Unless the situation demanded it, it's my worth it.

Another benefit of using a dumpster is that you don't have to hold the stupid bag open when you first start loading it...

Hm I guess it might be more of a last minute thing then. And you can hold onto the bag for as long as you like hey?

Its more of a DIY thing. They don't need to understand how to order a dumpster. They buy the bag, fill it and call a number.

I use the bagster as a washout bag for the concrete pump, I get a couple or so uses out of one bag. Quite a bit cheaper than the regular washout bags.

Security cam. It's illegal dumping.

Actually put a sign that says 10 bucks and someone will steal it. If it says free no one will take it.

Re: Forget Dumpsters Bagsters From Now On!

I've used them. Downtown, small town, limited on how long a dumpster can be placed, limited room too. Get the big stuff in the dumpster, then stage the rest to be loaded in the bags over time, haul it home, drag it off at the driveway and ask for a heavy pickup by my res company.

Not about economics, is about logistics.

Fact is, except for the paved road, that could pass for my driveway...

Theories are useless.
And that doesn't stop them round here, because it won't be prosecuted.

Then you have video footage...and two full dumpsters you still have to pay to empty.

Re: Forget Dumpsters Bagsters From Now On!

I was working on a fairly large commercial job and someone filled our 40 yarder over the weekend. We found some mail he threw away with his name and address, but the cop said that didn't prove anything.

I guess as long as they didn't see you dump it they couldn't prove where it came from when it's in their driveway.
