Fastener Source

Ok, so an associate of mine needs a bulk amount of stainless steel fasteners for a project.
Does anyone know of either of good wholesaler/distributor, or otherwise like a directory or something with RFQs?
Thanks in advance for your response.
EDIT: Btw I am in the greater new york area.

Re: Fastener Source

I'm new to this contractor forum.. The company our construction company uses is Grattan Fasteners. We've used them forever... if I told you how long, that would date me. lol. http://www.grattanfasteners.com They have two sites one geared towards DIY end users and other for their large volume distributors. If you're looking for a large quantity of stainless fasteners call and ask for Kathy or Jasmin and tell them Randy refered you. Maybe they'll give me a discount for referring. :P

Re: Fastener Source

Very general question, so I guess I'd just do what some folks here have listed. If you're doing market research for a client of yours, well so be it. It'd be better to try and hire someone already in that sector that's already employed as they know who all the vendors of those products are.

For more specifics, i've found fastenall to have serious counting issues, but pales in comparison with the clulessness of CED. Stainless fasteners I would use in bulk aren't available from the large, sell all places (grainger comes to mind too), so the generic listings are meaningless for me.

I guess we need more information to give you better answers.
