Estimating, With Excel Editing PDF's

I work for a company, and we are trying to go complete electronic so our field PM's will have everything at there fingertips

We use excel to create our estimate with tabs for all sections of building a house. What we are trying to do is take a set of plans (pdf) and try to label a elevation drawing to show my side wall installer to only strip to this point. Same would go for remodeling and not having remove all the plaster from an area etc...

Then the idea is to put these images in our excel budget sheet. So as our PM is reviewing the budget he can see exactly what was figured, and when we show a sub they will easily be able to understand.

I have tried a few things within Adobe Acrobat, doesn't seem great.

Any idea's, programs, or comments would be appreciated

I have tried Bluebeam a few times and I find it difficult. Do you know of any training programs available for it?
