Re: Employee Phone Usage

I'm not going to tell anybody to keep the phones in the truck. Sometimes emergencies happen. Sometimes it's just the old lady telling them to pick up a gallon of milk on the way home - I'm totally cool with that as long as they are responsible about it.

I don't need some guy that gets on the phone with his buddy to have an hour long discussion about how cool the club is going to be when they get off "work" while holding up other people.

I also don't need someone that has 2 minute conversations, but has a hundred of them per day and answers every one of them for the same net result as staying on the phone for hours. Pet chit with the chickens on your own time.

I also don't want to be working with another contractor that has the same values. It might be their job, but if it's a fixed price contract and I'm being held up by some idiot it's the same thing. T&M jobs it's their time, they can pay me to wait on them to get off the phone but it's still irritating.

If you've got to make them keep phones in the truck you've got the wrong guys. Might want to leave them at the next gas station
