I don't advocate caging animals or anything like that. This is a bird I found on craigslist who was a pet that people didn't have time for. I would never pay someone to breed domestic animals for a person's entertainment

These big parrots pick a mate for life. When another bird is not around you become it's mate. Kinda sick IMHO,, It will at some time start regurgitating food for you this is because this is what it does for it's young. You have become it's young Some times they become very nasty because it's mind is so phked because it wants to nest but can not. I don't know, it's my thought that I want to leave the exotics in their environment but you can do as you please.

They pull out their own feathers from being stressed out.

Yeah, it's pretty sad to see how many birds and other animals are being kept as pets by people who don't understand how much attention they need. Parrots are pretty social and needy and they suffer a lot if they're left alone or ignored for long

They don't need human attention. They don't need to have their flight feathers cut. They need turned loose it their environment to fly and breed and nest with there own kind
I can hear the parrots outside as I type this,, very happy birds.

Well, unfortunately, someone bred this bird in captivity 16 years ago and I ended up with it 3 years ago. I don't think releasing it to the Amazon is the right thing to do at this point!

Well how do you think animals get domesticated?
