Don't You Love It When...

a customer surprises you with a gift at the end of the job? we finished her kitchen today (a week ahead of schedule) and on the island this morning we had cards waiting for us. here's 2 pictures of the kitchen and a picture of the card. if you were wondering, sticky lips is rochester's best bbq joint.

Looks nice. Getting tips or gifts is always so very satisfying. You know that customer will tell all thier friends how happy they are. For many of us, it's so easy to complain when something is not to our liking but how often to we reward someone for a job well done. Even if it's just a verbal compliment !!!!

the only time i dont like getting gc's to resteraunts as a tip is when the homeowner clearly told us only weeks before how they went to that resteraunt, going on about how bad the service and the food was so... the manager gave them "credit"... . had this happen once and it seemed like the h.o was basically passing off their freebee to us. it was a pizza place, eaten there twice and both times the food made me sick.... needless to say i wont be using any gc's from there again

That is a nice appreciation gift! And a nice customer for saying 'thank you'!

And of course a nice kitchen too.

We just did a tear off/re roof for a lady a few weeks back and she brought out cold beer at the end of each day and 4 envelopes w/$50 cash and a thank you note for each of my guys. We were thrilled with the cold beer but the bonus was unexpected.

Re: Don't You Love It When...

Back in '99/'00 we were building homes for dot commers like there was no tomorrow and I pulled in almost $3,000 in bonuses from happy customers and my employer at the time. Ahhh, those were the days.
