These are specialty rentals. There's a good chance you can rent one close to you, but it's usually a google exercise.

Via random googling, I just read here they are banned their sale in CA. (No idea about rental.) Maybe his alternative device is good?

Just to be clear, ozone used correctly can work wonders. But it's not to be marginalized that if used incorrectly, it can have dangerous health re-percussions. There are some companies that claim it's great for whole house air purification and odor elimination.

That's not necessarily true depending on the concentration level and how tight the house is. I mean it will eliminate odors and kill mold and mildew, but in a tight house when it reaches higher concentration levels, it can be slower to break down. Prolonged exposure at higher concentration levels, can not only irritate lungs, but can cause permanent damage.

But in certain applications, used correctly.... it does a remarkable job.

Ozone generators are incredible at eliminating odors. I've got 4 running right now in a house I'm starting a light reno on Monday. It's a 70's ranch that smelled funky (been vacant for a year) and that played a big part in the new HO's getting it so cheap. They were/are suspicious of my claims I could get rid of the smell, but I went by this morning and there's hardly any funk smell left.

Once done with the generators, be sure and let the house "air out" for a day before going in there and working.

True. The chambers we had would not turn on until the door was shut and locked and the door would not open until ozone generation was stopped and a ventilation fan ran for a certain amount of time.
