Re: Awkward Situation

You said the PM offered to help.. Tell him the steps you've taken, The options you see, how you want to keep the peace, anddon't want it to excalate. Throw a 6pack in his front seat next time you come across his truck, and call it even.

Not only is it theft it is trespassing too. What reason does she have to go on the property to even come close enough to touch the key.

Re: Awkward Situation

When I'm new on a job site, first thing I do is check the top of the door, then under the mat, and then I look for footprints that vear off the path of all the workmen who have been there. In the wintertime, the key is always a snap to find.

Re: Awkward Situation

I always put the key on my key chain. Stays in my pocket all day. Never had a problem.

Not a awkward situation tho, just do what most said, run it up your chain of command and be done with it. It now becomes their call if they bring the fuzz into it and your done.

Call the popo. No other options. Why even attempt to deal with her?

Sorry, I was out of town for the weekend...

I talked to the Project Manager a couple hours ago. He's going to call/e-mail the condo association president, who we contracted through, to explain the situation. I offered my solution, but he told me not worry about it, we'll get a new key.

He knows the crazy woman better than I do. I learned my lesson, but it's still one of those things that bug me whenever I think about it. I didn't want to get anyone involved because of my screw up....I'm sure it's better this way. I would only exacerbate the problem.

I got pulled off to fix a roof, so I won't get back to the condos to see if she left the key for another day or two...It is possible the key is there, but I doubt it.

Anyway, thanks for the the comments, it's been a PITA!!
