7am, Jumped Out Of The Truck.....

And tore the seat of my pants.

It went downhill from there

By the time I got home, it looked like I was a homeless person.

Would you be checking me out if I didn't?

I swear I have the worst luck with jeans. I find a nice comfy pair and it usually tears just above the kneecap.

I use a fabric glue and scraps of old pants to prolong the life of my work pants. The ones I got now are so frankenstiened it's ridiculous.

I buy Dickies work jeans, and keep an extra pair in the truck. You can buy 3 pairs of them for the price of one pair of Carharts.

Yep gorilla duct tape works great for those rips to get through the day.. Happened to me on Friday.

+1 for the dickies, but they definitely wear out faster. On the bright side I'm not as mad when I get carpet adhesive on my shiny new pants the first day I wear them..(true story)

I'm an early riser, what can I say. When I am working in my shop, 7 is late. I'm usually there at 5 or 5:30.

That's sick. If I get out of bed before 7am I go to the bathroom and go back to bed.

Couple days ago I had my cocoa and newspaper. I finished reading the paper and they knocked my mug which was 1/2 full and it spilled all over the floor.

Right there I said to myself I should skip work today.

I've had those bad days also and like you, think the best thing to do is stay home. I usually take a peek at the checkbook and decide differently.

I always wear the moss green dickies. Worst I've got on a new pair of pants the first day out is roofing tar. By the end of the first week they look like a paint bomb went off nearby.

Re: 7am, Jumped Out Of The Truck.....

One say the boss hopped out his truck at 7 am and the truck started rolling down towards a cliff. The boss was heading towards the GC and didn't notice. I did and ran over and hopped in and set the parking brake. The GC saw it all and told the boss he owed me a truck. The boss said that was why he carried insurance and all I got was a free lunch. Better than nothing but I'd have rather had a case of New Castle.

Same here, and they wear well. I picked up a 3 pack off the internet on sale for $17
